PIAZZA DELL’EDILIZIA 4.0

Building for the climate

• Keep Zero is the thematic area dedicated to climate-oriented construction solutions.

• The “Keep Zero” square ideally brings together various aspects of innovation in the building sector, highlighting the necessary synergies and proposing a construction model supported by an operational method that aims towards the industrialization of building construction.

• Under the spotlight are design principles, construction processes, new materials, and new construction technologies.

Keep Zero Focus

The special area KEEP ZERO aims to connect the construction supply chain and provide a space for discussing and deliberating on the future developments of the construction industry.

The area will focus on several aspects:

1 Definition of the components related to the KEEP ZERO construction model
2 Systems and processes of industrialization
Sustainability levels of the proposed system, measured using the Itaca 2023 protocol

The New Challenges

• The challenges posed by the energy transition require a change in pace in decision-making and construction processes within the construction industry.

• The opportunity to create synergies among stakeholders in the supply chain represents a necessary response to adequately address the changes we will experience in the coming years.

• It is essential to rethink a new construction model focused on sustainability, supported by processes of innovation, industrialization, and digitalization.

• The key players in this process are the builders, who are currently driving the change.

• The KeepZero space aims to be a place for debating the future of the construction industry, highlighting the entrepreneurial capabilities of the region and the companies investing in innovation that can contribute to change.

The workshops in the Construction 4.0 Square

BUILDING FOR THE CLIMATE Sponsored by Ance Bari and Bat, the workshop aims to engage key stakeholders in the construction sector to build an ideal path of shared growth, capable of analysing the current state of construction and sharing future development directions, in line with the principle of sustainability.

MEASURING SUSTAINABILITY WITH THE ITACA PUGLIA 2023 PROTOCOL Sponsored by the Puglia Region, the workshop will present and seminarially analyse systems for measuring building sustainability and the European Community’s directions in this regard.

THE GREEN HOMES DIRECTIVE: GOALS AND SOLUTIONS What changes in the construction sector after the approval of the Green Homes Directive (EPBD) by the European Parliament? What are the short, medium, and long-term goals it imposes on different countries? How will the construction sector need to adapt?

HOW IS THE REAL ESTATE MARKET CHANGING? Developed in collaboration with Immobiliare.it, the workshop aims to highlight real estate dynamics in light of ongoing technological transitions. How should one orient their investments? And how is technological innovation impacting real estate value dynamics?
